The sheer size of Australia prevents us from incorporating a single delivery price into hamper prices.

Many large hamper companies have interstate and/or international affiliations that ship out hampers containing goods that are either widely available or mass-produced to contract. Under this arrangement the distance (and delivery charges) between dispatch and recipient are reduced, facilitating a single delivery rate which is often incorporated into the hamper price.

Because of the small and unique status of our production base, Mudgee Hampers are dispatched only from Mudgee which is four hours driving time away from Sydney, capital city of NSW, and 12 hours drive from Melbourne, capital of Victoria.

Our Hampers prices are based on our ‘shop shelf' prices for individual products, plus a charge to cover the following costs:-

Packing down – products that could leak are individually sealed in plastic bags before packing down in ‘wood-wool' - the preferred hamper packing material. We follow packing maps to minimise breakage in transit. The packed Hamper Box is then wrapped in corrugated cardboard, and wrapped again in brown parcel paper. We have rarely experienced any breakage during transit – even airmail.

Registered Mail - After many years we have found delivery by Australia Post's Registered Mail Service to be the safest and most reliable service for goods that are potentially perishable if ‘dumped' on a doorstep or left at a depot around Christmas – Australia's high summer!

Registered Mail provides an unique parcel identification and tracking code - in the event of an apparent delivery failure the parcel can be traced.

Receipting –necessary to keep mail-order and e-mail purchasers informed of the progress of their order, GST content, confirmation of EFTPOS debit, dispatch etc.

Yes – you can buy all the components (except wines) off the shelf and will be responsible for transport. In fact many of our shop visitors are hamper recipients who have come to Mudgee for a repeat ‘WOW factor'.

Each of our Hampers is named after a village or landmark in the Mudgee Region.

We check our internet orders daily and twice daily during the prime hamper season. If you forgot to include any detail (such as choice of wine, required delivery date, message etc) on the order, we will prompt you for more detail. If we cannot achieve delivery by the date required, we contact you to confirm you wish to go ahead.

We debit your card as the one of the first steps in processing your order. Generally, we do not contact you unless there is a problem with your card, or as discussed above. Once we have dispatched your order, we e-mail to confirm dispatch, the Registered Mail identification number for your Hamper, and the date and the amount we debited from your card.

Yes. We frequently send Mudgee Hampers to Canada, USA, United Kingdom , New Zealand and parts of West Europe using Air Mail. We have also sent hampers to Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia by Air Mail.

Sea Mail or Surface Mail to Europe for Christmas delivery closed in the last week of September.
